Rihanna’s Grammy Performance Became A Hilarious Viral Meme

It was the first time since 2003 that the Grammy awards were held outside Los Angeles. The 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held on January 28, 2018, and the CBS network broadcast the show live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

One thing that was truly epic was the Barbadian singer Rihanna’s performance. The 29 year-old’s performance of Wild Thoughts at the Grammys quickly became an internet sensation and she is already a viral meme. Have you seen it yet?

The singer stood out at the awards ceremony with her high energy four minute routine with a South African dance.

Rihanna successfully stole the stage with her DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller collaboration.

There was so much energy on stage and on top of that, the dance included some amusing facial expressions. Her Gwara Gwara dance was quickly shared all over Twiter and became a viral meme.

The three-hour-show saw many singers perform, but Rihanna’s dance was obviously the liveliest performance of all. The singer was having a great time.

Here are some of the meme’s captions:

One of the funniest captions on the video reads ‘When she hungry and finally get some food’.

Another read:

‘When there’s no one ahead of you at the Metrocard machine and the A train goes from 125th to 42nd in under 10 minutes’

That one kind of went over my head.

One Twitter user used Rihanna’s dance as a celebration meme for ‘when you have to call someone you don’t want to talk to and the voicemail picks up’.

Ira Madison III wrote:

‘When bae bakes the mozzarella sticks instead of microwaving them’.

Many of the captions were food-related.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was nominated for and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance for her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on Loyalty off his album Damn.
